Turma da Mônica®: Comic Pages
2026

For the last few months, I've been doing some freelance work for MSP's Turma da Mônica -- Brazil's largest kids' comics IP! My job is to take the script writer's layout and translate it into clear and expressive drawings, then do the final lineart -- all while still maintaining the IP's identity. Needless to say, my storyboard experience has greatly helped in maintaining the narrative flow and pushing expressions.

Below are a few pages I've done, following their scripts. I'll update this section when more of my pages are released.

Assorted commissions

Interested in commissioning me for a personal piece of your blorbos? Or maybe your cute little pet? Your loved one perhaps? Fear not! Here are a few examples of what I've done for commissioned work for the past years. This section is a bit outdated since I've mostly focused on industry work, but my commissions are now open -- just let me know what you have in mind and what style you're interested in!

THE ROTFATHER: In-universe prop exploration
2024

During my time at UFSC's G2E (Education & Entertainment Group) research group, I was tasked with developing possible looks for in-universe props for "The Rotfather", their transmedia projectset in the sewers of 1920s New York.

Down in the sewers, in the streets of Faux City, humanoid rats, cockroaches, spiders and other tiny animals have something very akin to human society -- though their items are mostly built around scraps from human trash. That's where I came in, as I explored how some in-house decor could look like. There was no specific art direction, as these didn't belong to any specific project from the IP; but they would be used as reference for worldbuilding and later project developments.

Later on, I would be tasked with developing the designs and illustrations for an official PG16 animated show pitch bible, which are currently under NDA.

OVERTIME: Visual Development, Illustration, and 14' pilot storyboards & animatic
2024

"Overtime" was developed as my undergraduate thesis at UFSC, and featured a 14-minute pilot episode animatic (idealized for CG production) voiced by me, some friends and a few teachers, as well as Illustration and Visual Development work featuring character, props and sets.

I can safely say that I learned most of the basics through creating "Overtime", and even though I've further developed my skills in this time, there are still moments I go "wow! I did that! 2 years ago?!". That being said, this is a project I keep very close to my heart, and I'm still reworking its structure and story so I can better pitch it in the future. Enjoy!

Overtime: Visual Development
2024

As one of the themes of my undergrad thesis, vis dev was really important -- especially regarding Character Design, my main focus. There were a lot of characters to work on, and the goal was to bring their personality out through design and complimentary materials (expressions and poses). The same goes for props and general vis dev exploration, which you can find below.

Overtime: Header Illustration
2024

As I got a lot more experience in rendering through study and work, I decided to try my hand at it for the cover of "Overtime". Unfortunately I don't have much of the process documented (since this wasn't the focus of my thesis), but at least the sketch was preserved.

Overtime: 14' Pilot storyboards & animatic
2024

This was my first time creating a fully fledged episode animatic for animation. Modeling the backgrounds in Blender greatly helped me focus on acting and story. Below, I've left the full-animatic for viewing and separated a some sequences I find interesting.
